Alistair retired from full-time employment as a General Marine and Cargo Surveyor at the end of 2018, having been employed by two of the major inspection companies for more than twenty five years and with a family run business in Vancouver for the last twenty years.
Prior to joining E.W. Saybolt in London in 1970, Alistair Beaton was a Petrol Chemist / Corrosion Chemist / Water Treatment Chemist for BP at their Oil Refinery in Scotland.
His expertise has taken him throughout the UK, Europe, Japan, Korea, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean and Canada.

Although retired, Mr Alistair Beaton is available for marine consulting work, on-hire / off hire surveys, draft surveys, damage surveys, cargo contaminations / reclaim, corrosion surveys etc.
